The Community Resilience Partnership Program (CRPP), led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the Huairou Commission, co-financed by NDF, focuses on locally led and inclusive climate action across Asia and the Pacific and addresses the challenges connected to climate change, poverty and gender. 馃搵 As part of the programme, the Huairou Commission and YAKKUM Emergency Unit worked with local women and persons with disabilities in Indonesia鈥檚 Gunungkidul district to conduct a locally-led study, mapping vulnerabilities of various groups. This approach enables women鈥檚 groups to design inclusive resilience practices that address the priorities of community members with vulnerabilities 鈥 and ensures leaving no one behind. The study revealed that elderly women and widows with disabilities face extreme socio-economic and climate risks. Through #CRPP, the project aims to integrate disability inclusion into climate resilience, supporting locally-led planning and women鈥檚 leadership in just environmental governance. 馃尡 馃挕On this day, let鈥檚 commit to inclusive climate action.
